A BRIEF HISTORICAL
THE DREAM NIGHTMARE
As technology advances in 2008, with
the introduction of the new “Dream DVD Recorders and Mind Implants”, an
uninformed population has no knowledge about the consequences of their
use. These devices have created an unstoppable nightmare for law
enforcement causing numerous waves of crime in the major cities of the
world. With more of these devices, scheduled to be introduced in 2009,
the police are ill equipped to deal with this type of crime.
Those in power who were true
visionaries held the first ever “Dream Security” conference in
Washington D.C. on January 15, 2007. The federal government had long
known about the possible future abuses of this technology when they
opened this “Pandora’s Box” through its remote viewing program in the
1970’s and 80’s. They were well aware of the true potential of the
mind’s abilities and power range. As well as what would happen if you
boosted the power of the mind artificially. This fact was also known by
the major electronics corporations who were developing and marketing
this technology. These same corporate giants are now poised to make
unheard profits, if this technology is allowed to grow and improve.
Many who attended this conference
would not accept that this problem was a real threat. With local and
state budgets already stretched to the breaking point, some who attended
felt that the creation of new police squads to combat this issue should
and could not be implemented.
The only cities that were willing to
stand up and be counted were New York City and Los Angeles. After hours
of political maneuvers New York won out, with the full support of one of
its highest-ranking division chiefs and its mayor. Chief Andrew Williams
III would spearhead this first pilot program with full federal support
also Los Angeles would receive federal study monies as a back-up to New
York, if the New York squad proves to be a workable solution. As a side
note the city of Miami in Florida, would train with New York or L. A.
when and if this becomes a real federal program.
So on May 16, 2007 the “Dream Squad
Special Investigations Unit” was officially born. Chief Williams knew of
only one person who had a deep personal background with “Dreams” to lead
this squad. This officer’s skills were fine-tuned by the vice and
narcotics squads in 2004 – 2006. The only officer who could make this
work was his twenty seven year old Dominican-American goddaughter
Lieutenant Wendy Marisa Flores.
On May 24, 2007 by executive order of
Mayor Elect Robert V. Marcos, Wendy M. Flores became the first D.S.I.
Unit captain and commander.
The new captain had a serious
challenge waiting for her to tackle. Her first act would be the
selection of her squad members. The first officer selected for this unit
was Sergeant Armando Roberto Diaz, from her old vice squad. The second
officer picked was Lieutenant Gina Luisa Ortiz, from robbery in Long
Island, who is also working on her PhD in Physics at N.Y.U. The last and
newest officer selected to round out this unit would be rookie officer
straight from the academy and from the Bronx Division Veronica Angela
The Dream Squad is now in place to
fight “Dream Crimes” out of their Midtown Precinct house, at 306 West 54th
St.. They will be tested repeatedly, although they will always remain
faithful to the NYPD motto.
